1949 Imme R100

The Imme, designed by Norbert Riedel and built in the small southern Alpine village of Immenstadt Bavaria, was often referred to as "the German Hobby Horse". The "Power Egg" 100 CC two stroke engine is mounted on a single steel tubular member, which acted as the exhaust pipe and the rear swing arm. Both front and rear wheels appear to have no visible means of support when viewed from the left; the front and rear forks are single sided. The Imme was way ahead of its time. Do to its very low production quantity it was expensive in it's day and now it's super rare.

This motorcycle is on display at Blue Moon as part of the permanent collection,
and is not for sale.
